Google Chrome Without the Beta, means without the crash...

Just this December 11 2008, Google released their audacious Google Chrome (without the beta). It has already fixed the bug especially in FLV videos (in short, videos from YouTube and other streaming websites). Chromium which is released under the BSD license made possible the creation of Google Chrome, where also the name 'Chrome' was derived.

With only 8 Mb size, this lightweight browser really makes browsing to the limits. Also available in 43 languages but still, I prefer the English language when I install this software.

The beta was first released last September 2, 2008 which I downloaded immediately. It was buggish so I uninstalled it and waited for a very short time to download a stable version.

To download Google Chrome just click the link http://www.google.com/chrome/eula.html

December 21, 2012 (End of the World) - Mayan Calendar

According to the Mayan Calendar, the end of the world will be in December 21, 2012. That’s pretty near from this day. The Mayan calendar can predict solar and lunar eclipses thousands of years before it will occur.

Astronomer says that in December 2012, the center of the Milky Way Galaxy will be aligned with the Sun and our earth which only happens one for every 25,800 years. They say that they don't know what will happen but one of the possible things that will occur will be polar shifting. This could affect polar regions to melt causing sea level rising.

One source for this phenomenon is also the Bible which they say teaches us that the world was created and then there was an end, probably in our generation.

The Forsaken DOST Shirt

This DOST shirt is supposedly to be printed but due to printing costs, we have decided to cancel our plan. Now, we are already finalizing our new design, in fact, we already order the shirts. At least the new design is cheaper now and it looks so simple and clean. We already have a shirt for our party.

What the World Has To See

The World has to see this. Dubai's Atlantis Hotel Opening Ceremony really amazed the whole world. With its jaw-dropping cost up to the cost of the fireworks displayed during the opening. This is truly an amazing view.

Dubai's Palm Island already amazed the world. Who could have expect that artificial sand islands can be inhabitable. And then the opening of the Atlantis Hotel located at the top most part of the man-made island really made pyrotechnicians to extend their limits.

What is Art For

From: Google Image

We treat an object art if it really touches us in terms of our senses and feelings both literally and psychologically. With this statement, we can already say that art is created by the things revolving around the society and society being the viewers of it.

Core Ideas:

1. The purpose of art itself is mostly for the people around it because it is inspired from them. These people also view a particular work of art as a reflection for themselves. Nowadays, art is not only created for inspiring people but also as a form business for the artists which the consumers are the people around the society who admires their work.

2. The society as the most common inspiration for creating an art is really what makes art a part and should be taken as a part of the society. Society in the sense, not only dealing about the social status of the people and the society itself but also the nature which is considered as a natural art. An essay entitled “The White Bird” by John Berger states that the emotion we feel when we stare and evaluate at art objects is part of the sensation we feel when we observe nature.

3. The true value of art is a case where people can relate what the art depicts. If art is only created by itself, limited to the art and the artist, it is only valuable to the artist because no other else can understand what the art is portraying. Juan Luna’s ‘Spolarium’ shows the suffering of the people from colonialism, clearly that this art was created to inspire and made the people realize what to do. This means that people won’t spend their time looking or even take a glance at that art if they cannot feel what it really means.

4. A powerful art work is an art wherein it can inspire a lot of people. An art can only inspire a lot of people if they are experiencing the same misfortune maybe and they don’t know what to do and then suddenly, an inspiration came by in the form of art. In this case, the art had the power in moving the minds of the people.

5. Some elements of an art are based on nature (ex. trees on paintings) and nature is considered as part of the society. This clearly explains that nature is one of the inspiration of the artist to create something creative.
