We already had a meeting last September 5, 2009 about this great show. The meeting was all about the format of the show and the tasks we need to do. I hope everyone will cooperate in the preparation.

If Ever There's a Sipser's Idol

Last August 29, 2009, I took THE CMSC 141 first long exam and guess what, it was difficult, some parts are even more difficult. I studied for almost a week but still it wasn't good enough. I think I'm just too dull to answer those kind of questions...

But there could be a bright side if 'Sipser's Idol' or maybe the title will be changed into 'Sipser's Got Talent' will push through this semester. Not only for my main reason but also for the fun part. I love to host or maybe become a contestant in this kind of shows or presentations.

Not attainable stage.

Free Wallpapers - Widescreen (1440x900) and Generic (1280x1024)

For me, a cloudy afternoon is the perfect time for taking flower pictures because there is only sufficient light beaming to the subject of interest. Flowers are very colorful and on a clear day, they have high contrast, therefore not good for the eyes. In taking these photos, I did not apply filters because we don't have those things. Adobe Photoshop has filters but using those features are unsatisfactory.

Widescreen Wallpapers Created by Newbie

This is the first time I created a digital art-wallpaper and it is in a widescreen format. I combined some tutorials like masking and using the filter menu in photoshop. Personally, I don't like the results but at least I learned something.

This tutorial is a combination of retro (masking newspapers/magazines) and using the pen button. I read several blogs and comments in tutorials about pen button. I even read something about 'using the pen button is not that efficient'. The tutorial about using the pen button really helped a lot in creating this widescreen wallpaper.

The final result of the tutorial doesn't really look like this. In the tutorial I read, the final output has several rainbows and puffier clouds. The stars are also twinklier than what I have done but at least I did something similar from the tutorial - the idea.

Cheap Wallpapers (4:3 aspect ratio)

This is my first time taking photographs for wallpaper use. I took some pictures outside our house. All of the photos are in high-resolution (5 megapixels) so you won't have a problem in terms of quality. I also increased the contrast and saturation of the images so that all of the images will appear vibrant. These wallpapers are for standard screen only, 4:3 aspect ratio. If you attempt to apply one of these photos to a wide screen or square screen, there might be a loss of image quality specifically images appear to be stretched.
